Body Awareness
We believe that in order to gain the awareness to change, we can use our body to help get to a place of self awareness. A simple standing pose called mountain (pictured below) can help achieve this. Think of a bullying taunting us. What can we do with our body?
Root your feet into the earth, arms by your side, standing tall relax the shoulders, take a deep breath in and as you exhale relax your jaw and eye brows. Use a loud and proud voice to speak your truth. Saying “stop” can be just as effective with the confidence in the body and the voice. A bully can be someone at school for your child or someone in your life who belittles you.
