Dear Community,
We are listening, learning, unlearning, and taking action. As teachers of youth yoga and mindfulness, our highest priority is and has always been to offer a physically and emotionally safe space for students that is inclusive for all. We continue to grow and learn.
Yoga and mindfulness are not a quick fix to long-standing racism. What we do know from data and first-hand experience is the tools yoga and mindfulness provide help nourish the mindsets and skills to create a more equitable community.
Education is one of the ways we can break down systemic oppression and shift perspective as we cultivate empathy for others.
